Peer Review Process

Every manuscript submitted to Jurnal Mahasiswa BK An-Nur : Berbeda, Bermakna, Mulia will be processed for a maximum of 1-3 months. The manuscript will be reviewed by at least 2 reviewers. The peer review process uses a double-blind review method which between reviewers and authors do not know each other. The editor ensures that the identity of the author or reviewer who handles the manuscript remains anonymous.

Each incoming manuscript will be assessed from substantial, technical, originality, relevance, and presentation aspects. Publication Ethics

Jurnal Mahasiswa BK An-Nur : Berbeda, Bermakna, Mulia focuses on a research result on the Development of Scientific Guidance and Counseling field written by experts, educators, scientists, practitioners, and reviewers in the field of Guidance and Counseling.

Statement of ethics code of scientific publication on Jurnal Mahasiswa BK An-Nur : Berbeda, Bermakna, Mulia is based on LIPI Regulation No. 5 of 2014 on Code of Ethics of Scientific Publications, which upholds 3 ethical values in publications, namely: (1) neutrality, conflict of interest in the publication process; (2) justice, giving the author the right to claim his letters; and (3) Honesty, evident from duplication, fabrication, forgery, and plagiarism in publications.

Author's Duties

  1. Standards Reporting: The author of the original research report should present an accurate report of the work performed as well as an objective discussion of its importance. The underlying data should be represented accurately on paper. The paper should contain enough detail and referrals to allow others to replicate the work. False or intentionally inaccurate statements are unethical and unacceptable behavior.
  2. Data Access and Retention: Authors may be required to provide raw data in connection with papers for editorial reviews. They must be ready to provide the data within a reasonable time.
  3. Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that they have written the original work completely, and if the author has used the work and / or the words of others that have been quoted or quoted appropriately.
  4. Multiple, Redundant or Concurrent Publications: A writer should not generally publish manuscripts that essentially describe the same research in more than one major journal or publication. Sending the same script to more than one journal simultaneously is unethical and unacceptable publishing behavior.
  5. Recognition Source: True recognition of the work of others must always be given. The author should cite publications that have been influential in determining the nature of the work reported.
  6. Paper Authorship: Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, implementation, or interpretation of reported research. Anyone who has made a significant contribution should be registered as a coauthor. If there are others who have participated in certain substantive aspects of the research project, they must be recognized or registered as contributors. The appropriate author must ensure that all appropriate co-authors and no inappropriate coauthors are included on paper, and that all co-authors have reviewed and approved the final version of the paper and have approved the submission for publication.
  7. Disclosure and Conflict of Interest: All authors shall disclose in their text any conflicts of financial interest or other substantive interest that may be interpreted to influence the results or interpretation of their manuscripts. All sources of financial support for the project should be disclosed.
  8. Fundamental mistakes in published works: When a writer finds significant errors or inaccuracies in his or her own work, the writer's obligation to immediately notify the journal or publisher editors and work with the editor to retract or correct the paper.
  9. Hazard and Human Subjects or Animals: If the work involves chemicals, procedures or equipment that have an unusual hazard inherent in their use, the authors should clearly identify this in the manuscript.

Editor's Task

  1. Fair Games: An editor at any time evaluates the manuscripts for their intellectual content irrespective of race, sex, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship or political philosophy of the authors.
  2. Confidentiality: The editor and any editorial staff shall not disclose any information about manuscripts sent to anyone other than potential authors, reviewers, potential reviewers, editorial advisers, and other publishers.
  3. Disclosure and Conflict of Interest: Unpublished material disclosed in the submitted manuscript shall not be used in the editor's own research without the written consent of the author.
  4. Publication Decision: The board of editors is responsible for deciding which articles are submitted to the journal to be published. The validation of the work in question and its importance for the researcher and the reader should always encourage such a decision. Editors can be guided by journal editorial board policies and are limited by legal requirements as applicable in the future because of defamation, copyright infringement and plagiarism. Editors can talk with editors and other reviewers to make this decision.
  5. Manuscript Review: The editor must ensure that each manuscript is initially evaluated by the editor because of originality. The editor must arrange and use peer review fairly and wisely. The editor should explain their peer review process in the information to the author and also show which journal sections are reviewed by peers. The editor should use appropriate peer reviewers for published papers by selecting persons with adequate expertise and avoiding conflicts with interests.

The reviewer's job

  1. Contribution to Editorial Decisions: Peer review helps editors in making editorial decisions and through editorial communication with authors can also assist authors in repairing papers.
  2. Request: Any elected referee who feels ineligible to review the research reported in the manuscript or know that his short review will become unlikely to have to notify the editor and permission of the review process
  3. Standards of Objectivity: Reviews should be objective. The author's personal criticism is not right. Referees should express their views clearly with supporting arguments.
  4. Confidentiality: Any manuscript received for review should be treated as a confidential document. They should not be indicated or discussed with anyone other than those authorized by the editor.
  5. Disclosure and Conflict of Interest: Any information or special ideas obtained through peer review should be kept confidential and not used for personal gain. The reviewer should not regard manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest due to a relationship, relationship, or competitive, collaborative, or other relationship with any newspaper-related writer, company or institution.
  6. Acknowledgments of Source: The reviewers should identify relevant published works that have not been cited by the author. Any statement that an observation, derivation, or argument has been previously reported must be accompanied by relevant citations. A reviewer should also call the editor's attention to substantial or overlapping equality between the manuscript being considered and other publication papers with personal knowledge.
