Submission guidelines

Al Ulum: Journal of Science and Technology (JST)  is a journal for the prompt disclosure of novel experimental achievements in many facets of natural sciences, engineering, computer science and technology, health and medical sciences, and agriculture.  

Violation of the following rules will result in an immediate rejection:

Rule:

  1. The manuscripts does not fall into any of the areas of interest of the Journal.
  2. The manuscripts is too preliminary (e.g., data without comparison to a reference, etc)
  3. The manuscripts does not follow the formatting provided in this document.
  4. The manuscripts contains poor english and difficult to read language.

 

Authors are strongly encouraged to provide their manuscripts in documents format (Word). The text must follow the template. Use plain font 11 point, Times New Roman and always use internationally symbols (SI units). Abbreviations, must be defined the first time they are used and a list supplied with the manuscripts. Manuscripts file upload size limit is 1 MB. Please send illustrations in different file if together with maintext its size exceeds 1 MB.

The text of manuscripts should be divided into the following sections:

Abstract,

Introduction,

Materials and Methods

Results and Discussion,

Conclusions,

Acknowledgements,

Conflict of Interest,

References 

 

Title

Describing the contents of the principal manuscript in clear and concise way (maximum 15 words).

 

Author’s Identities

Provide author information include: The name of the author, The affiliation, i.e. institution, (department), city, (state), country. A clear indication and an active e-mail address of the corresponding author

 

Abstract

Please provide an abstract of 100 to 150 words. The abstract should not contain any undefined abbreviations or unspecified references. For keywords, please provide 4 to 6 keywords which can be used for indexing purposes.

 

Text Formatting

Manuscripts should be submitted in document format (Word and save your file in docx format (Word 2007 or higher) or doc format (older Word versions). Use a normal, 11-point Times New Roman for text. Italics could to use for emphasis. Abbreviations should be defined at first mention and used consistently thereafter.

 

Footnotes

Footnotes can be used to give additional information, which may include the citation of a reference included in the reference list.

 

Acknowledgments

Acknowledgments of people, grants, funds, etc. should be placed in a separate section after Experimental. The names of funding organizations should be written in full.

 

Reference list

The list of references should only include works that are cited in the text and that have been published or accepted for publication, (APA Citation Style). Personal communications and unpublished works should only be mentioned in the text. references should be at least 80% primary references (journal articles), minimum 15 references.

Tables

All tables are to be numbered using Arabic numerals. Tables should always be cited in text in consecutive numerical order. For each table, please supply a table caption (title) explaining the components of the table. Identify any previously published material by giving the original source in the form of a reference at the end of the table caption.

Figure

All figures are to be numbered using Arabic numerals. Figures should always be cited in text in consecutive numerical order.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. Submissions have not been published before, or are in the discussion of another journal (or an explanation has not been provided in the comments for the editor).
  2. Acceptable Format are OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect. We recommend the article length is entirely within 2000 to 6000 words.
  3. We recommend to use citation managers tools to avoid missdetected words during plagiarism check.
  4. The writing format is single space text; font 11; not underlined (except URL address); and all illustrations, figures, and tables placed in the text at the right points, not at the end. Manuscripts file upload size limit is 1 MB. Please send illustrations in different file if together with maintext its size exceeds 1 MB
