PENGARUH FAKTOR PRODUKSI TERHADAP PRODUKSI PADI LOKAL THE EFFECT OF PRODUCTION FACTORS ON LOCAL RICE PRODUCTION

Food is a basic need of the people of South Kalimantan. The main type of food that
becomes public consumption is rice. Banjar Regency is one of the rice producing regions
in South Kalimantan. Formerly the area was the largest surplus rice area in South
Kalimantan. However, in recent years there has been a decline in production so that Banjar
Regency is no longer the largest regency producing rice in South Kalimantan. Peat District
is one of the rice barns in Banjar Regency. Rice farming is mostly carried out in Gambut
District. Some of the people of Gambut Sub-district have a livelihood as farmers.
Production in the sub-districts in Peat District also decreased from 34,328 tons in 2017 to
32,138 tons in 2018. Rice production in farming was strongly influenced by production
factors. Among other things, namely land area, namely labor, use of fertilizers and
production facilities as well as other factors are participation in farmer institutions. The use
of production factors greatly affects the quality and quantity of output produced. It also has
an impact on the acceptance and welfare of farmers and their families. This study aims to
determine the effect of production factors and farmer institutions on simultaneous and
partial production. The sample withdrawal method used is simple random sampling.
Simultaneously influencing the dependent variable at the 95% confidence level. Partially
the production factors that influence rice production are the amount of fertilizer and the
activity of farmers in farmer groups. The sig value on the fertilizer variable is 0.031 which
means the amount of fertilizer has an effect on production at the 95% confidence level.
Whereas the activity of farmers in farmer groups affects production at the level of
confidence of 75%.
