Body Mass Index (BMI) serta VO2max sangat penting dalam menunjang performa atlet futsal. Hal ini menjadi dasar bahwa sebuah tim/pelatih maupun pemain futsal harus memahami komposisi tubuh serta serapan oksigen maksimum yang diperlukan dalam menunjang performa atlet, Namun kenyataannya, PSSI kota Blitar dan pemain belum memahami pentingya korelasi antara BMI dengan VO2max. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memahami hubungan antara BMI dengan VO₂max pada atlet futsal di kota Blitar. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan korelasional kuantitatif untuk mengetahui hubungan antara Body Mass Index (BMI) dan serapan oksigen maksimal (VO₂max). Sampel pada penelitian ini merupakan atlet futsal terpilih kota Blitar dengan jumlah sampel 16 atlet. Pengambilan data pada penelitian ini untuk mengukur BMI menggunakan prosedur tinggi badan dan berat badan dengan menggunakan stadiometer dan timbangan digital yang telah dikalibrasi. Untuk pengukuran VO₂max menggunakan tes treadmill maksimal, mengikuti protokol Bruce. Data yang diperoleh akan dianalisis data menggunakan uji korelasi pearson. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data menunjukkan nilai korelasi BMI dengan VO₂max sebesar 0,004 dan nilai koefesien korelasi pearson -0,674. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini menjelaskan ada korelasi antara BMI dan VO2max pada atlet futsal kota Blitar.
